The cover has broken on the 2008 Dodge Magnum, in both R/T and SRT8 trims. For the purposes of our beloved high-performance readership, we’ve posted SRT8 shots below, with only one measly R/T photo (the grey one) just to whet your appetite.
So, they’ve gone ahead and redesigned it and some might say muted the front end a bit. Personally, we think this gives the previous version of the car more of a bad boy look, but we’re willing to hold off on that judgment until we see one moving on the road.

Performance, of course, will be thrilling. The new hood covers the 6.1-liter HEMI V-8, with 425 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. Dodge says that’s a 0-60 time in the “low 5-second range” and a 0-100-0 mph in under 17 seconds. For those of you scoring at home, those are similar, if not exact, performance figures for the 2007 model.
Expect the 2008 Magnums to show up in dealership toward the end of 2007.
